  "text": "(1) In this Chapter—\n“common parts”, in relation to a building, includes the structure and exterior of the building and common facilities provided, whether in the building or elsewhere, for persons who include the occupiers of one or more flats in the building;\n“common parts application”, in relation to an application for a disabled facilities grant, means an application in respect of works to the common parts of a building containing one or more flats;\n“conversion application”—\n(a) in relation to an application for a renovation grant, means an application in respect of works required for the provision of one or more dwellings by the conversion of a house or other building, and\n(b) in relation to an application for an HMO grant, means an application for a grant in respect of works for the provision of a house in multiple occupation by the conversion of a house or other building;\n“flat”, in relation to a building, means a dwelling which is a separate set of premises, whether or not on the same floor, divided horizontally from some other part of the building.\n(2) In this Chapter the expressions listed below are defined by or otherwise fall to be construed in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter indicated—\ncertificate of future occupation (in relation to an application for an HMO grant)\nArticle 57(2)\ncertificate of intended letting (in relation to an application for a renovation grant)\nArticle 41(3)\ncertified date\nArticle 75(3)(b)\ncommon parts grant\nArticle 35(3)\ndisabled facilities grant\nArticle 35(4)\ndisabled occupant\nArticle 51\neligible works\nArticle 65(2)(a)\nestimated expense\nArticle 65(2)\nexempt disposal\nArticle 85\ngrant (without more)\nArticle 35(6)\ngrant condition\nArticle 75(1)\ngrant condition period\nArticle 75(3)(a)\nHMO grant\nArticle 35(5)\nlandlord’s application (in relation to a common parts grant)\nArticle 46(1) and (2)\noccupying tenant (in relation to an application for a common parts grant)\nArticle 45(2)\nowner-occupation certificate (in relation to an application for a renovation grant)\nArticle 41(2)\nowner’s application\n–in relation to a renovation grant\nArticle 40(1) and (2)\n–in relation to a disabled facilities grant\nArticle 50(1) and (2)\nowner’s certificate (in relation to an application for a disabled facilities grant)\nArticle 52(2)\nparticipating landlord (in relation to a tenants' application for a common parts grant)\nArticle 46(4)\npreliminary or ancillary services and charges\nArticle 36(4)\nqualifying owner’s interest\n–in relation to an application for a renovation grant\nArticle 40(4)\n–in relation to an application for a disabled facilities grant\nArticle 50(4)\n–in relation to an application for an HMO grant\nArticle 56(3)\nqualifying tenant\n–in relation to an application for a renovation grant\nArticle 40(5)\n–in relation to an application for a disabled facilities grant\nArticle 50(4)\nrelevant disposal\nArticle 84\nrelevant works (in relation to a grant application)\nArticle 36(2)(a)\nrenovation grant\nArticle 35(2)\ntenant (and expressions relating to tenancies)\n–in the context of a tenant’s application for a renovation grant\nArticle 40(6)\n–in the context of a certificate of intended letting\nArticle 41(4)\n–in the context of an application for a common parts grant\nArticle 45(2)\n–in the context of an application for a disabled facilities grant\nArticle 50(5)\ntenant’s application\n–in relation to a renovation grant\nArticle 40(1) and (2)\n–in relation to a disabled facilities grant\nArticle 50(1) and (2)\ntenants' application (in relation to a common parts grant)\nArticle 46(1) and (2)\ntenant’s certificate\n–for the purposes of an application for a renovation grant\nArticle 42(2)\n–for the purposes of an application for a disabled facilities grant\nArticle 53(2)",
