# The Humane Trapping Standards Regulations 2019, Introduction: Introductory text


Draft Regulations laid before Parliament and the National Assembly for Wales under paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament and of the National Assembly for Wales.

The Secretary of State and the Welsh Ministers are Ministers designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to wild animals.
The Secretary of State, in relation to England and Scotland, and the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales, make these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of that Act.
