  "heading": "Content of a biometric immigration document",
  "text": "(1) A biometric immigration document may contain some or all of the following information on the face of the document —\n(a) the title of the document;\n(b) the document number;\n(c) the name of the holder;\n(d) the holder’s date of birth;\n(e) the holder’s place of birth;\n(f) the holder’s nationality;\n(g) the sex of the holder;\n(h) the period of leave to remain which the person is granted;\n(i) the class of leave to remain which the person is granted;\n(j) any conditions to which the limited leave to remain is subject or remarks relating to those conditions;\n(k) the place and date of issue of the document;\n(l) the period for which the document is valid;\n(m) the holder’s facial image;\n(n) the signature of the holder;\n(o) a machine readable code;\n(p) a hologram;\n(q) an emblem of the United Kingdom and the words “United Kingdom”;\n(r) the symbol of the International Civil Aviation Organization denoting a machine readable travel document which contains a contactless microchip; and\n(s) any additional security features.\n(2) A biometric immigration document may contain some or all of the following within a radio frequency electronic microchip embedded in the document —\n(a) any of the information specified in paragraph (1)(a) to (m);\n(b) information relating to a record of any two of the holder’s fingerprints; and\n(c) any additional security features.",
