  "text": "(1) The Immigration Skills Charge Regulations 2017 are amended as follows.\n(2) In regulation 4 (exemptions from the charge), for paragraph (a) substitute—\n“(a) in respect of an occupation coming within any of the following codes in version 12 of the Standard Occupational Classification 2020 Index—\n(i) 2111 (chemical scientists);\n(ii) 2112 (biological scientists);\n(iii) 2113 (biochemists and biomedical scientists);\n(iv) 2114 (physical scientists);\n(v) 2115 (social and humanities scientists);\n(vi) 2119 (natural and social science professionals not elsewhere classified);\n(vii) 2161 (research and development managers);\n(viii) 2162 (other researchers, unspecified discipline);\n(ix) 2311 (higher education teaching professionals);\n(x) 2463 (clergy);\n(xi) 3431 (sports players);\n(xii) 3432 (sports coaches, instructors and officials);”.\n(3) In paragraph 2 of the Schedule (amount of charge payable by a sponsor), for the table substitute—\n“\nColumn 1\nColumn 2\nColumn 3\n12 months or less\n£480\n£1320\nMore than 12 months, but no more than 18 months\n£720\n£1980\nMore than 18 months, but no more than 24 months\n£960\n£2640\nMore than 24 months, but no more than 30 months\n£1200\n£3300\nMore than 30 months, but no more than 36 months\n£1440\n£3960\nMore than 36 months, but no more than 42 months\n£1680\n£4620\nMore than 42 months, but no more than 48 months\n£1920\n£5280\nMore than 48 months, but no more than 54 months\n£2160\n£5940\nMore than 54 months, but no more than 60 months\n£2400\n£6600\n”.",
