  "text": "(1) In regulation 26 (meaning of “unethical research practices”)—\n(a) omit paragraphs (2) and (3);\n(b) at the end, insert—\n“(4) An eligible infected person was also subject to unethical research practices if—\n(a) they received, in the course of NHS treatment or armed forces treatment overseas, treatment for a bleeding disorder before 1986, and\n(b) they were not subject to unethical research practices in accordance with paragraph (1).\n(5) In paragraph (4), “armed forces treatment overseas” and “NHS treatment” have the meanings given in regulation 3(10).”.\n(2) In regulation 27 (amount of unethical research practices award)—\n(a) in paragraph (1), for “£15,000” substitute “£60,000”;\n(b) omit paragraph (2);\n(c) after paragraph (1), insert—\n“(3) Where the eligible infected person (“P”) was subject to unethical research practices in accordance with regulation 26(4), the amount of an unethical research practices award in relation to that person is—\n(a) where P was subject to unethical research practices while aged 17 or under, £45,000;\n(b) where P was not subject to unethical research practices while aged 17 or under, £30,000.”.",
