# The Intellectual Property (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020, Paragraph 2: Article 1: definitions


In Article 1, in relation to the definition of “maker”—
(a) for “Union”, substitute “United Kingdom”;
(b) omit “third”;
(c) after “countries”, insert “outside the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Member States of the European Union”; and
(d) renumber that definition as paragraph (k) and insert after the definition of “UK authorisation”.
