Explanatory note

This Order amends the International Development Association (Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative) Order 2006 (S.I. 2006/2323) by increasing the amount that may be paid by the Secretary of State as additional contributions to the International Development Association (the “Association”) from £2,835.97 million to £3,083.89 million. The adjusted amount is in accordance with arrangements made with the Association pursuant to Resolution No. 211 adopted by the Board of Governors of the Association on 21st April 2006.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private, public or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
