# The Judicial Appointments Regulations 2013, Regulation 12: Consultation


(1) If practicable the panel must consult, about the exercise of its functions under section 70, the current holder of the office for which a selection is to be made.
(2) As part of the selection process under section 70(2), the selection panel must consult the Lord Chancellor.
