# The Judicial Appointments Regulations 2013, Regulation 6: Consultation


(1) If practicable the panel must consult, about the exercise of its functions under section 70, the Lord Chief Justice.
(2) As part of the selection process under section 70(2), the selection panel must consult—
(a) the Lord Chancellor; and
(b) the First Minister for Wales.
