  "text": "(1) A person who on the first day of the first course year of the course—\n(a) is either—\n(i) under 18 years of age and has lived in the United Kingdom throughout the seven-year period preceding the first day of the first course year of the course, or\n(ii) is 18 years of age or above and, preceding the first day of the first course year of the course, has lived in the United Kingdom throughout either—\n(aa) half their life, or\n(bb) a period of twenty years,\n(b) is ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom,\n(c) has been ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and the Islands throughout the three-year period preceding the first day of the first course year of the course, and\n(d) has not been resident in the United Kingdom and the Islands during any part of the period referred to in paragraph (c) wholly or mainly for the purpose of receiving full-time education.\n(2) Sub-paragraph (1)(d) does not apply to a person who is treated as being ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and the Islands in accordance with paragraph 1(4).",
