# The Local Digital Television Programme Services Order 2012, Paragraph 8: Local Multiplex Service Licence


Section 16 (duration and renewal of multiplex licences) has effect as if—
(a) for subsection (1) there were substituted—
“(1) A local multiplex licence (subject to the provisions of this Part) continues in force for the period specified by OFCOM in the licence, such period not to exceed twelve years.”, and
(b) the remainder of that section were omitted.
