Paragraph 4 Modification of the Local Elections Rules
Rule 20 (notice of poll)f1 applies as if after paragraph (2) there were inserted—
“(3)The notice published under paragraph (2) must state that the poll at the local election is to be taken together with the poll at the European Parliamentary election.”

Rule 20 was amended by S.I. 2010/2977. In addition, section 4 of, and the Schedule to, the Elections Act 2001 (c. 7) made a non-textual amendment when local elections are combined with parliamentary elections.
