# The Magistrates’ Courts (Recording and Broadcasting) Order 2026, Article 4: Recording and broadcasting sentencing remarks


Section 41 of the Criminal Justice Act 1925 and section 9 of the Contempt of Court Act 1981 do not apply where sentencing remarks are—
(a) recorded in accordance with the conditions in articles 5 to 7, or
(b) broadcast in accordance with the conditions in articles 8 to 10.
