  "heading": "Application of regulations 20 and 21 to ships detained under other Regulations",
  "text": "(1) Regulations 20 and 21 apply in relation to the exercise of the power of detention contained in—\n(a) any regulations made under the Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Oil Pollution) Order 1983;\n(b) any regulations made under the Merchant Shipping (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Order 1987;\n(c) any safety regulations made, or treated as made, under section 85 of the Act as they apply in relation to the exercise of a power of detention in accordance with these Regulations;\n(d) regulation 8(2) of the Ship Recycling (Requirements in relation to Hazardous Materials on Ships) (Amendment etc.) Regulations 2018.\n(2) Paragraph (1)(c) does not apply in relation to a ship which is not a United Kingdom ship in relation to—\n(a) the Merchant Shipping (Ro-Ro Passenger Ships) (Stability) Regulations 2004;\n(b) the Merchant Shipping (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) Regulations 2022.",
