# The Merchant Shipping (Port State Control) Regulations 2026, Paragraph 5: Other areas which may not warrant a detention, but where, for example, cargo operations have to be suspended


Failure of the proper operation or maintenance of the inert gas system, cargo-related gear or machinery are considered to be sufficient grounds for stopping cargo operation.
