# The Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (Amendment) Regulations 2022, Introduction: Introductory text


Draft Regulations laid before Parliament under section 55(5)(d) of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

The Treasury make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 49 of, and paragraphs 6 and 23 of Schedule 2 to, the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018;
In accordance with section 55(5)(d) of that Act, a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
