  "heading": "Jurisdiction of courts in the United Kingdom: jurisdiction excluded",
  "text": "(1) Section 17 of the 1965 Act (jurisdiction etc) is amended as follows.\n(2) In subsection (1) (jurisdiction of courts in the United Kingdom, or in a part of the United Kingdom, excluded by a certificate of the Secretary of State or the Scottish Ministers)—\n(a) omit the words “or any part thereof”;\n(b) for “the Minister” substitute “the appropriate authority”;\n(c) omit the words “or, as the case may be, of some other part of the United Kingdom”;\n(d) omit the words “or, as the case may be, that part thereof”.\n(3) Omit subsection (2) (certificate as evidence of the jurisdiction of a court in a particular part of the United Kingdom).\n(4) After subsection (6) insert—\n“(7) In this section “appropriate authority” means—\n(a) in relation to England and Wales and Northern Ireland, the Secretary of State;\n(b) in relation to Scotland, the Scottish Ministers.”",
