# The Occupational Pension Schemes (Scheme Administration) (Amendment) Regulations 2016, Introduction: Introductory text


Draft Regulations laid before Parliament under section 54(2)(e) of the Pensions Act 2014, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 35(1), (3) and (4), 36(1) and (1A)(a), 124(1) and 174(2) and (3) of the Pensions Act 1995 and section 54(5) and (6) of, and paragraphs 2(1), (3) and (5), 6 and 7 of Schedule 18 to, the Pensions Act 2014 (“the Act”), makes the following Regulations.
In accordance with section 120(1) of the Pensions Act 1995 and paragraph 8 of Schedule 18 to the Act, the Secretary of State has consulted such persons as the Secretary of State considers appropriate.
A draft of these Regulations has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 54(2)(e) of the Act.
