# The Overseas Companies Regulations 2009, Regulation 43: Application and interpretation of Part


(1) This Part applies to every credit or financial institution that has a branch in the United Kingdom.
(2) In this Part “branch” means a place of business that forms a legally dependent part of the institution and conducts directly all or some of the operations inherent in its business.
