# The Private Rented Sector Database Regulations 2026, Regulation 7: Updating entries in the database


(1) Except as provided for in paragraph (2), active landlord and dwelling entries may only be updated by a person—
(a) specified in the entry as a person who is a residential landlord, or
(b) a person who falls within paragraph 17 of Schedule 2.
(2) The information and documents specified in paragraph 6 of Part 1, and Part 2, of Schedule 3 may be updated on behalf of a person specified in paragraph (1) by a letting agent or a property manager appointed by them.
