# The Public Services Reform (General Teaching Council for Scotland) Order 2011, Article 9: General powers


(1) The GTCS may do anything which appears to it to be appropriate for the purposes of, or in connection with, the performance of its functions.
(2) The GTCS may, in particular—
(a) acquire and dispose of land and other property;
(b) enter into contracts;
(c) borrow money;
(d) charge fees for providing services.
