# The Quality Meat Scotland (Amendment) Order 2023, Article 5: The purpose for which levies are imposed


The levies which may be imposed by Quality Meat Scotland under article 6 (levies) and schedule 3 of the Order are to enable Quality Meat Scotland to—
(a) meet its expenses in the exercise of its functions,
(b) meet its administrative expenses,
(c) further a purpose in article 3(2) (purposes of Quality Meat Scotland) of the Order,
(d) establish a reserve fund.
