Paragraph 11 Amendment of Part 3 of the 1949 Act (marriage under superintendent registrar’s certificate)

In the following sections of the 1949 Act, for “two certificates of a superintendent registrar” substitute “a marriage schedule”—

(a)

section 26(1) (marriage of a man and a woman; marriage of same sex couples for which no opt-in necessary);

(b)

section 26A(1) (opt-in to marriage of same sex couples: places of worship)^f1;

(c)

section 26B(1) (opt-in to marriage of same sex couples: other religious ceremonies)^f2.

Annotations

f1: Section 26A was inserted by section 4(1) of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013.
f2: Section 26B was inserted by section 5 of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013.
