# The Registration of Marriages Regulations 2021, Paragraph 46: Amendment of Part 6 of the 1949 Act (general)


After section 76 of the 1949 Act insert—
“Offence of failing to attend premises in compliance with a section 53D(8) or section 53E(10) notice
76A (1) A person who, without reasonable cause, fails to attend premises in compliance with a notice issued under section 53D(8) or section 53E(10) commits an offence.
(2) A person who commits an offence under subsection (1) is liable, on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale.”.
