# The Registration of Marriages Regulations 2021, Paragraph 14: Prosecution of offence of failure to make quarterly return


Regulation 23(2) of the Registration of Marriages Regulations 2015 (proceedings in respect of an offence under section 76(1) or (2) of the 1949 Act) has effect as if the amendments made by these Regulations had not been made, in relation to any offence committed on or before 1st August 2021 under section 76(2) of the 1949 Act (offences relating to registration of marriages).
