# The Registration of Marriages Regulations 2021, Paragraph 3: Issue of marriage document before 4th May 2021 for marriage on or after that date


Section 21A of the 1949 Act (issue of marriage document after publication of banns or the grant of a special or common licence) only applies in relation to marriages to be solemnized on or after 4th May 2021.
