Draft Order laid before Parliament under section 90E(4) of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 90B(2) and 90E(3) of the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.
The Secretary of State has consulted such representative organisations as appear appropriate in accordance with section 90E(2) of that Act.
A draft of this instrument has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament in accordance with section 90E(4) of that Act.

## 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Road Safety (Financial Penalty Deposit) (Appropriate Amount) (Amendment) Order 2014 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

## 2 Amendment of the Road Safety (Financial Penalty Deposit) (Appropriate Amount) Order 2009

(1) The Road Safety (Financial Penalty Deposit) (Appropriate Amount) Order 2009 is amended as follows.
(2) In Part 1 of Schedule 1, after Table 8 (Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995), add—

Section 11(1)

This Order amends the Road Safety (Financial Penalty Deposit) (Appropriate Amount) Order 2009 by adding to the Schedule showing the monetary amount of a financial penalty deposit that a constable or vehicle examiner may require from the person in charge of a heavy goods vehicle suspected of committing an offence under section 11 of the HGV Road User Levy Act 2013.
