Local Government, England
Made
Coming into force in accordance with article 1
Under section 58(4) of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (“the Act”), the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (“the Commission”) published a report dated October 2017 stating its recommendations for changes to the electoral arrangements for Rotherham, which it gave effect to by making the Rotherham (Electoral Changes) Order 2018 under section 59(1) of the Act.
The Commission is satisfied that a mistake has occurred in the preparation of that Order and that the mistake is such that it cannot be rectified by a subsequent order under section 59 of the Act by virtue of section 14 of the Interpretation Act 1978.
A draft of this instrument has been laid before Parliament and a period of forty days has expired since the day on which it was laid and neither House has resolved that the instrument be not made.
The Commission makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 59(6) of the Act.

## Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Rotherham (Electoral Changes) Order 2018 (“the 2018 Order”) which gave effect to recommendations for changes to electoral arrangements for Rotherham, stated in the Local Government Boundary Commission Report of October 2017 (“the report”).
Table 2 in Schedule 2 to the 2018 Order provides that the number of councillors to be elected for the parish of Bramley (“the parish”) is seven. This provision was made in error in consequence of a mistake in the report; this Order corrects that error and provides that the number of councillors to be elected for the parish is 13. This Order is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of the 2018 Order.
The area of the parish and its wards are not affected by this Order.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
