# The Scheme for Construction Contracts (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2011, Introduction: Introductory text


Draft Regulations laid before the Scottish Parliament under section 114(5) of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, for approval by the Scottish Parliament.

Coming into force 1st November 2011
The Scottish Ministers make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 114 and 146(1) of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
In accordance with section 114(2) of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 they have consulted such persons as they think fit.
In accordance with section 114(5) of that Act, a draft of the instrument has been laid before and approved by resolution of the Scottish Parliament.
