# The Scottish Local Government Elections Order 2011, Article 1: Citation, commencement and extent


(1) This Order may be cited as the Scottish Local Government Elections Order 2011 and comes into force on 10th November 2011 except for the purposes of any election to be held on or before 2nd May 2012.
(2) This Order extends to Scotland only.
