# The Scottish Parliament (Elections etc.) Order 2015, Paragraph 73: Constituency election: deceased independent candidate with equality of votes


In an election mentioned in rule 71(1), if—
(a) rule 60 (equality of votes) applies; and
(b) any of the candidates to whom that rule applies is a deceased candidate,
the deceased candidate must be ignored.
