Draft Order laid before Parliament under section 15(11)(b) of the Representation of the People Act 1983, for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(9) and (10) of the Representation of the People Act 1983f1, makes the following Order.
In accordance with section 15(11)(a) of that Act he has consulted the Electoral Commission.
In accordance with section 15(11)(b) of that Act a draft of this instrument was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

Section 15 was amended by sections 8 and 15 of and paragraphs 1 and 8 of Schedule 1 and the first entry in Part 1 of Schedule 7 to the Representation of the People Act 2000 (c.2), section 12(7) of the Electoral Administration Act 2006 (c.22) and regulation 5(2) and paragraphs 2 and 4(b) of Schedule 2 to S.I. 1995/1948. Subsections (9) to (12) of section 15 were inserted by section 13(1) of the Electoral Administration Act 2006.
