Article 2 Interpretation

In this Order—

• “the 2007 Act” means the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007;

• “the 2000 Act” means the Local Government Act 2000 as it has effect in relation to the Shropshire council^f1;

• “the 1972 Act” means the Local Government Act 1972^f2;

• “article 7 functions” means the functions referred to in article 7;

• “Shropshire”, except in the definition of “the Shropshire council” and the second mention of those words in article 3(2), means the county of Shropshire;

• “the 2009 election day” means the ordinary day of election of councillors^f3 in 2009;

• “the district councils” means the councils specified in article 4(b);

• “the Implementation Executive” means the committee established (whether before or after the coming into force of this Order) for the purposes of article 6(3);

• “the main transitional function” has the meaning given by article 6(1); and

• “the Shropshire council” means the council of the county of Shropshire.
