  "heading": "PART 1 OF SCHEDULE 1 TO THE COUNCIL TAX BENEFIT (SPC) REGULATIONS AS AMENDED BY THIS ORDER",
  "text": "PART 1\nPersonal Allowances\n1 The amount specified in column (2) below in respect of each person or couple specified in column (1) shall be the amount specified for the purposes of regulation 12—\nColumn (1)\nColumn (2)\nPerson, couple or polygamous marriage\nAmount\n(1) Single claimant or lone parent—\n(1)\n(a)\naged under 65;\n(a)\n£119.05;\n(b)\naged 65 or over.\n(b)\n£138.10.\n(2) Couple—\n(2)\n(a)\nboth members aged under 65;\n(a)\n£181.70;\n(b)\none member or both members aged 65 or over.\n(b)\n£207.00.\n(3) If the claimant is a member of a polygamous marriage and none of the members of the marriage have attained the age of 65—\n(3)\n(a)\nfor the claimant and the other party to the marriage;\n(a)\n£181.70;\n(b)\nfor each additional spouse who is a member of the same household as the claimant.\n(b)\n£62.65.\n(4) If the claimant is a member of a polygamous marriage and one or more members of the marriage are aged 65 or over—\n(4)\n(a)\nfor the claimant and the other party to the marriage;\n(a)\n£207.00;\n(b)\nfor each additional spouse who is a member of the same household as the claimant.\n(b)\n£68.90.\n2 (1) The amounts specified in column (2) below in respect of each person specified in column (1) shall, for the relevant period specified in column (1), be the amounts specified for the purposes of regulation 12(1)(b)—\nColumn (1)\nColumn (2)\nChild or young person\nAmount\nPerson in respect of the period—\n(a)\nbeginning on that person’s date of birth and ending on the day preceding the first Monday in September following that person’s sixteenth birthday;\n(a)\n£47.45;\n(b)\nbeginning on the first Monday in September following that person’s sixteenth birthday and ending on the day preceding that person’s twentieth birthday.\n(b)\n£47.45.",
