  "text": "In this Part—\n“communication network” means a set of individuals connected to each other by real time communicative interaction;\n“current safety case” has the meaning given in regulation 78(1);\n“designated place” means—\n(a) a place other than a site at which the operator’s spaceflight activities are to be carried out, or\n(b) where the operator’s spaceflight activities include a controlled and planned landing of a launch vehicle or a planned but uncontrolled landing of such a vehicle at a place other than a site, that place;\n“designated site” means—\n(a) a spaceport at which the operator’s spaceflight activities are to be carried out, or\n(b) where the operator’s spaceflight activities include a controlled and planned landing of a launch vehicle or a planned but uncontrolled landing of such a vehicle at a site other than a spaceport, that site;\n“exclusion zone” has the meaning given in regulation 47(4)(a);\n“hazard area” has the meaning given in regulation 47(1);\n“land” means land situated in the United Kingdom;\n“licence” means a range control licence;\n“licensee” means the holder of a range control licence;\n“the licensee’s range control services” means the particular range control services that are authorised by the licence held by the licensee;\n“monitoring functions” means surveillance activities conducted in respect of the designated range, and references to “monitoring” are to be construed accordingly;\n“relevant agreement” has the meaning given in regulation 43;\n“relevant authorities” has the meaning given in regulation 44;\n“restricted zone” has the meaning given in regulation 47(4)(b);\n“warning zone” has the meaning given in regulation 47(4)(c).",
