  "text": "The carrying on of any of the following operations—\n(a) burning as a fuel, under a permit granted under the 2000 Regulations, of—\n(i) straw, poultry litter or wood;\n(ii) waste oil listed in Table 1 (including waste oil which is special waste); or\n(iii) solid fuel which has been manufactured from waste by a process involving the application of heat,\nto the extent that it is or forms part of an activity within Part B of any Section of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the 2000 Regulations;\n(b) the secure storage on any premises of any wastes mentioned in sub paragraph (a), other than waste oil, which are intended to be burned as mentioned in that sub paragraph, and the feeding of such wastes into an appliance in which they are to be so burned;\n(c) the secure storage of waste oil listed in Table 1 (including waste oil which is special waste) at the place where it is produced for a period not exceeding 12 months if the waste oil is intended to be submitted to an operation covered by the exemption conferred by sub paragraph (a); and provided that the total volume of that oil does not at any time exceed 23,000 litres;\n(d) burning as a fuel, under an authorisation granted under a permit granted under the 2000 Regulations, of tyres to the extent that it is or forms part of an activity within Part B of Section 1.1 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the 2000 Regulations, and the shredding and feeding of tyres into an appliance in which they are to be so burned;\n(e) the secure storage on any premises of tyres where—\n(i) the tyres are intended to be submitted to an operation covered by the exemption conferred by sub paragraph (d);\n(ii) the tyres are stored separately;\n(iii) none of the tyres is stored on the premises for longer than 12 months; and\n(iv) the number of the tyres stored on the premises does not at any time exceed 1,000.\nTable 1\nCodes\nTypes of waste\n(1)Codes referred to in the European Waste Catalogue.\n(2)Includes special waste.\nWaste hydraulic oils (13 01)\n13 01 09\nMineral based chlorinated hydraulic oils\n13 01 10\nMineral based non chlorinated hydraulic oils\n13 01 11\nSynthetic hydraulic oils\n13 01 12\nReadily biodegradable hydraulic oils\n13 01 13\nOther hydraulic oils\nWaste engine, gear and lubricating oils (13 02)\n13 02 04\nMineral-based chlorinated engine, gear and lubricating oils\n13 02 05\nMineral-based non chlorinated engine, gear and lubricating oils\n13 02 06\nSynthetic engine, gear and lubricating oils\n13 02 07\nReadily biodegradable engine, gear and lubricating oils\n13 02 08\nOther engine, gear and lubricating oils\nWaste insulating and heat transmission oils (13 03)\n13 03 06\nMineral based chlorinated insulating and heat transmission oils other than those mentioned in 13 03 01 (insulating or heat transmission oils containing PCBs)\n13 03 07\nMineral based non-chlorinated insulating and heat transmission oils\n13 03 08\nSynthetic insulating and heat transmission oils\n13 03 09\nReadily biodegradable insulating and heat transmission oils\n13 03 10\nOther insulating and heat transmission oils\nBilge oils (13 04)\n13 04 01\nBilge oils from inland navigation\n13 04 02\nBilge oils from jetty sewers\n13 04 03\nBilge oils from other navigation\nWaste of liquid fuels (13 07)\n13 07 01\nFuel oil and diesel\n13 07 02\nPetrol\n13 07 03\nOther fuels (including mixtures)",
