# The Welfare Funds (Scotland) Regulations 2016, Regulation 10: Form of crisis grant assistance


(1) Any crisis grant is to be provided by way of a payment to the applicant in a form which does not require the applicant to make over the payment to a particular person or otherwise to use it in a particular way.
(2) Paragraph (1)—
(a) does not apply where a local authority considers that it would be of advantage to the applicant for the crisis grant to be provided in a different manner;
(b) does not require any crisis grant to be paid in cash.
