# The Driving Licences (Exchangeable Licences) (No. 2) Order 1985, Introduction: Introductory text


ROAD TRAFFIC
Made 17th September 1985
Coming into Operation 1st November 1985
The Secretary of State for Transport, being satisfied that satisfactory provision for the granting of licences to drive motor vehicles is made by the law of the countries specified in Article 2 of this Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 110(2) of the Road Traffic Act 1972 and after consultation with representative organisations in accordance with section 110(3) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:—
