The Dual-Use and Related Goods (Export Control) Regulations 1996, made in implementation of and pursuant to Council Regulation (EC) No. 3381/94 on the control of exports of dual-use goods (OJ No. L367, 31.12.94, p.1), contain references to Council Decision No. 94/942/CFSP on the joint action adopted by the Council of the European Union on the basis of Article J3 of the Treaty on European Union concerning the control of exports of dual-use goods (OJ No. L367, 31.12.94, p.8). The Decision has now been further amended by Council Decision No. 98/106/CFSP. These Regulations:

  • amend the 1996 Regulations so that references to Decision 94/942/CFSP are to that Decision as further amended by Decision 98/106/CFSP (regulation 2); and

  • revoke consequentially redundant matter in Schedule 2 to the 1996 Regulations and in subsequent amending Regulations (regulation 3).

These Regulations also revoke an erroneous amendment in those amending Regulations to a provision revoked elsewhere in those same amending Regulations (regulation 4).
