Article 2 Citation, commencement and interpretation

In this Order:

  • “the council” means the Easington District Council;

  • “the maps” means the six maps prepared in duplicate, numbered, marked “Maps referred to in the East Durham Enterprise Zones (Designation) Order 1995”, and signed by an Under Secretary in the Department of the Environment, one set of which has been deposited and is available for inspection at the principal offices of the council and the other at the offices of the Secretary of State for the Environment, and any reference to a map by number is a reference to the map so numbered;

and any reference to boundaries shown on a map is a reference to boundaries which are represented by the outside edge of a black line edged internally with a stippled band on that map.
