# Education Act 1944 (repealed 1.11.1996), Paragraph 3

Extent: E+W

Before appointing a person to represent any religion denomination or associations as a member of any such committee, a local education authority shall take all reasonable steps to assure themselves that he is representative thereof, but no proceedings under this Schedule shall be invalidated on the ground that a member of such a committee did not represent the religiondenomination or associations which he was appointed to represent unless it is shown that the local education authority failed to take such steps as aforesaid.
