# Education Act 1944 (repealed 1.11.1996), Section 82: Powers of local education authorities as to educational research.

A local education authority may, . . . make such provision for conducting or assisting the conduct of research as appears to the authority to be desirable for the purpose of improving the educational facilities provided for their area.
