Section 5 Text of certain provisions as amended by this Act.

In accordance with the provisions of this Act (apart from the transitional provisions in section 1(5)), the following sections, namely,—

• section 1 of the M1Education Act 1946; and

• section 7 of the M2Education (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1948;

are to have effect as set out in Schedule 3 to this Act with the amendments made by this Act, by the Secretary of State for Education and Science Order 1964 and by the provisions listed in subsection (2) below, but without prejudice to the operation of any enactment affecting the operation of those sections and not so listed.

The provisions above referred to, . . . as regards provisions by which section 1 of the M3Education Act 1946 is amended, are—

• The M4Education (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1953, section 3; and

• The M5Education Act 1967, section 2.
