# The Education (Additional Secondary School Proposals) Regulations 2003, Introduction: Introductory text

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 70(3), (4) and (6) and 210(7) of, and paragraphs 2,3 and 5 of Schedule 8 to, the Education Act 2002 the Secretary of State for Education and Skills hereby makes the following Regulations:
