# Education and Inspections Act 2006, Section 111: Meaning of “maintained school” and “relevant school” in Chapter 2

Extent: E+W

In this Chapter—
“maintained school” means—
(a)a community, foundation or voluntary school,
(b)a community or foundation special school, or
(c)a pupil referral unit;
“relevant school” means—
(a)a maintained school,
(b) an Academy school,
(ba)an alternative provision Academy,
(c)a city technology college, or
(d)a city college for the technology of the arts.
