# The Education (Grant-maintained Schools) (Initial Governing Instruments) Regulations 1993, Paragraph 18: Tenure of office: general


Nothing in paragraphs 15 to 17 above shall be taken to prevent a governor—
(a) from being elected or appointed for a further term of office; or
(b) from being disqualified, by virtue of paragraph 5 above or paragraphs 20 to 23 below, for continuing to hold office.
