# The Education (Grant-maintained Special Schools) (Initial Governing Instruments) Regulations 1994, Introduction: Introductory text


EDUCATION, ENGLAND AND WALES
Made 6th August 1994
Laid before Parliament 9th August 1994
Coming into force 1st September 1994
Whereas pursuant to section 8(1) of, and paragraph 15(c) of Schedule 1 to, the Tribunal and Inquiries Act 1992, the Secretary of State has consulted the Council on Tribunals;
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 301(6) of, and paragraph 2(1) and (3) of Schedule 11 to, the Education Act 1993, the Secretary of State for Education, as respects England, and the Secretary of State for Wales, as respects Wales, hereby make the following Regulations:
