# The Education (Grant) Regulations 1990, Regulation 12: Informal vocational, social, physical and recreational training


The Secretary of State may pay grants to persons other than local education authorities in respect of approved expenditure incurred or to be incurred by them for the purposes of, or in connection with, the provision (or proposed provision), whether as part of wider activities or not, of vocational, social, physical and recreational training provided (or to be provided) otherwise than in any educational institution and otherwise than for profit.
