  "text": "(This note is not part of the Regulations)\nThese Regulations, made under section 187 of the Education Act 1993, modify Chapter IX of Part II of the Act (which enables schools to join together as groups ofgrant-maintained schools). The effect of the modification is to extend the relevant provisions to grant-maintained special schools.",
