  "heading": "Modification of Chapter IX of Part II of the 1993 Act",
  "text": "For the purposes referred to in section 187(1) of the 1993 Act Chapter IX of Part II of that Act is modified as follows:\n(a) references to grant-maintained schools shall be read so as to includegrant-maintained special schools and references to grant-maintained status shall be construed accordingly;\n(b) in section 126 the references to section 84(1) and to section 90(1) shall, in relation to a grant-maintained special school, be to those sections as modified by any regulations made under paragraph 14 of Schedule 11 to the 1993 Act;\n(c) the requirements in section 127(2)(a) and (b) shall not apply in relation to a maintained special school established in a hospital.",
